Reminder: Payments are taken directly from your debit card on the same date each month, even if that date falls on a weekend or bank holiday.

If you are finding it difficult to keep up with your repayments, please get in touch.

We understand that sometimes financial circumstances can change, and unexpected costs can make things more challenging and affect your ability to make repayments.

We offer a range of support options, and our friendly, understanding team is always ready to help you find the right solution for your situation.

You can also visit our Payment difficulties page for more information and guidance.

Please contact our Payments team and a member of the team will be happy to help.

If you miss a repayment, your account will fall into arrears. The longer it remains unpaid, the more likely it is to affect your credit file, which could make it harder to access credit, loans, or mortgages in the future.

To help limit any impact, we recommend bringing your account up to date as soon as possible. You can make a payment anytime here.

If a payment is missed, we will get in touch by email, SMS, and phone to let you know and offer support to help you get back on track.

If you are finding things difficult or need a bit of extra help, please contact our friendly customer service team. We have a range of ways we can support you and we are here to work with you.

At Bamboo, we collect your recurring loan repayments from your debit card using a Continuous Payment Authority (CPA).

A CPA is similar to a Direct Debit, but instead of linking to your bank account, it uses your 16-digit debit card number and CVC. Unlike a Direct Debit, CPA payments are always taken on your agreed due date (between 4am and 7am) even if that date falls on a weekend or bank holiday.

We are unable to accept credit cards or prepaid debit cards for recurring payments.

Please note: If your debit card expires or your card details change, your CPA will be automatically cancelled. You will need to update your card details to continue making payments.

Once your loan is complete, your CPA will also be automatically cancelled.

You can make an additional payment without any extra charge.

Additional payments can be made on our website by logging into your account. Alternatively, you can contact our payments team and a member of our team will be happy to help.

If you change your mind within 14 days of signing your loan agreement, you can notify us that you wish to exercise your right to withdraw and return the loan amount. You won’t be charged any interest and will only need to return the amount you borrowed.

You must notify us that you wish to withdraw within the 14-day cooling-off period and return the funds within 30 days of notifying us. To do so, please contact us.

If you signed your loan agreement longer than 14 days ago and have not notified us that you wish to withdraw, then you will need to request an early settlement figure.

When e-signing your loan agreement, you will be given the option to choose a monthly repayment date that suits you. For example, if you get paid at the end of the month, you can choose to repay on the 1st of every month.

If you do not choose a date, your repayments will default to around the same day of the month your loan was agreed.

A few days after your loan is paid into your account, we will email you with the date of your first repayment. You can also view your due date anytime by logging into your online Bamboo account and visiting your account summary page.

Yes, you can make an early payment, and it will go towards your next scheduled repayment.

  • If you pay less than the full amount: We will collect the remaining balance on your due date.
  • If you pay the full amount: We won’t collect anything on your due date.
  • If you pay more than the full amount: We won’t collect anything, and the extra will go towards your next payment.
