The UK is full of beautiful sights that you can’t find anywhere else in the world. There are so many great places to travel in the UK, but which places are worth precious space on your Instagram? Here’s a short list of Instagram worthy spots in the UK that you should definitely visit and post about this summer:
1. St. Paul’s Cathedral
St. Paul’s Cathedral is the most visited cathedral in the UK, and for good reason. Built in the late 17th century, St. Paul’s has a long history in London and is a great place to get a wide variety of pictures. The photo taking possibilities are nearly endless at St. Paul’s. Whether you want a picture of the iconic dome, the intricate arches and ceiling inside, or one of the best views of London, St. Paul’s Cathedral is a must.
This little Welsh town is full of independent book shops, cafes, and beautiful views of the Wye Valley. You can get a picture of a rare edition of your favourite book, a cup of coffee, or the great views, you’re sure to love the aesthetic of Hay-on-Wye.
Stonehenge is one of the oldest and most beloved monuments in the world, and it is easy to see why. Located in Wiltshire, England, it is not only an iconic symbol of the UK but a breathtakingly beautiful place to visit with ample opportunity for photos.
4. Notting Hill
The setting of the iconic late 90s rom-com, Notting Hill is a piece of London you cannot miss if you want some photos for your Instagram. Home to beautiful pastel homes of every colour you can imagine and a famous Carnival in August, Notting Hill will help keep you and your Instagram feeling colourful and vibrant.
With its unique Georgian-era architecture and a rich history dating back to the roman empire, Bath is a perfect town to visit to get your fix of history and photography. Whether you decide to visit the Roman Baths that gave the town its name or the famous circus, you are sure to find more than enough places to take photos that are more than insta-worthy in Bath.
6. Piccadilly Circus
This iconic London hub is a great place to shop and to take photos. If you want your followers to know you’re in London, taking a quick picture in front of the large digital billboards in Piccadilly Circus is one of the best ways to do it.
7. Edinburgh Castle
As well as being a beautiful castle in and of itself, Edinburgh Castle offers some breath-taking views of the city. If you go to Edinburgh, it is a must-go spot to learn about the history of Edinburgh and to take wonderful pictures of the city.
8. Natural History Museum (South Kensington)
The Natural History Museum, along with being one of the best museums in London, is a gorgeous building full of plenty of opportunities for photos. From an animatronic T-Rex to a beautiful staircase, this museum has all your bases covered.
9. Tintern Abbey
This abbey located in Monmouthshire is full of both architectural and natural beauty. Build in 1131 AD, this Tintern Abbey has been written about in poetry and song for centuries. According to English-herritage.org, it is one of the best abbeys in the UK.
10. “Hi Boo, I Love You” staircase
