FLA Lending Code

The Finance and Leasing Association (FLA) is the leading trade association for the consumer mortgage, credit, motor finance and asset finance sectors in the UK.

Membership to the FLA is conditional to companies meeting strict standards which are set out in the FLA Lending Code 2019 and performance is monitored in line with the Code. As a full member of the FLA, Bamboo Loans customers are held to the same level of standards highlighted in this Code.

What is the FLA Lending Code?

The FLA Lending Code sets out standards of good practice for the consumer finance industry which go above and beyond legal requirements.

As a responsible lender and a member of the FLA, our customers can be confident that we observe the standards of good practice set out in the FLA Lending Code. We aim to treat all customers fairly and honestly and are committed to providing a quality service.

Some of the key commitments include:

  • We will act fairly, reasonably and responsibly in all our dealings with you.
  • Not discriminate against you because of your race, sex, disability, ethnic background or sexuality.
  • Provide you with clear information when you need it, and explain how our products will affect your finances.
